Inauguration

As I greet another weekend, I am reminded of what is ahead this week...an inauguration of another President.  However, this President is one that I feel has an appointed leadership that is very monumental for our time.  That leadership is acknowledging and speaking about the fact that we are all one and keeping that in mind when making decisions.

This message of oneness is one I received after the Twin Towers fell in NY.  It was after that when I wrote, "United", which you can read in my book.  You know that after receiving that poem, I felt that my poetry was channeled..or from a higher source speaking through me.  Much of that poem's message had been part of my soul...especially of "one color" and others, replacing those pieces of "separateness" that linger within my own being.

I decided to leave work at 10 on Tuesday, as I want to view the inauguration.  I've never felt like I have wanted to watch one before, but this one seems different.  This one represents a beginning of being heard from the bottom up...rather than from the top down.  It is truly a time for change...a time to be heard.  My only hope that others in government and society may "catch" his vision and leadership, so that we can all go forward toward a time of peace.

We, as individuals, and as a country, have had...and have...a listening problem.  We don't really hear and understand one another.  We don't ask questions, or take the time to really listen, to come to a place of "oneness" and true understanding of "walking a mile in the other man's moccasins."  We only ask questions to affirm our own agendas, our own beliefs, and our own histories...and affirm our separateness.  I am as guilty of this at times as the next one.  We first, however, need to listen to the separateness within...those aspects of ourselves that separate us from the love that we are.

This is truly a time for change...a change for all of us...if we choose to "accept this mission"...that often feels like Mission Impossible!  We need to hear...and we need to be heard...as all of us represent a fractured family that has forgotten that we are "one", both as a nation, and in our own families.  Whether we choose to be a part of that change...a shift in consciousness...is still to be determined.  Our history, however, shows that the "other way" has not worked.  So, in this New Year, may we all be a part of the change that heads in a different direction, so that our house divided will not fall, but be built on a firm foundation.

Sending heart hugs to you, embracing the Spirit that you are.

Somewhere on the road between Santa Fe and Taos NM

How can you capture such depth and magnificence of beauty...you can't!  It is only something that can be truly photographed by the eye and saved in your soul!

Chief Greeter outside Harry's Roadhouse, Santa Fe NM

If you are ever in the Santa Fe NM area, be sure to stop in and be greeted by this Chief at Harry's Roadhouse on the Old Las Vegas Highway.  Guy, from Diners, Drive-ins and Dives has given it his stamp of approval and the food and atmosphere is outstanding.  You will never see the parking lot empty from early morn till evening!

Sacred Heart Catholic Church - Nambe Pueblo NM

I was so fascinated by everything that I saw and experienced on a recent visit to Santa Fe, NM.  It is truly "The Land of Enchantment" and I do hope to return.
This church is an example of the adobe style of construction that you see all over and that blends in with the landscape, rather than stands out. Notice the simplicity of its lines and the rain spout coming off the roof to carry the sometimes torrential downpours.
It was like going to a different country.  Just everything was new and exciting...the colors...the food...the atmosphere...the people...and the feel of Spirituality that permeates every location.
Rising early in the morning at my daughter's home and walking outside of their home on the side of a mountain 4 miles outside of Santa Fe, I felt as if I wanted to whisper when I spoke, so as not to disturb the sacredness of the space.  I had never experienced that feeling anywhere else in the States.  I felt as though I was in a scared ceremony and must remain reverent of the circle.
Being in the Santa Fe/Taos area, was like riding through life in the highest SUV you can imagine and being able to see the world from a higher place, compared to riding in a Corvette, here in FL and seeing things only at that level.  I had such a sense of the smallness of myself compared to this land where we live.  There is nothing that can describe its expansiveness and beauty.

My Prayer by Nancy Jean

This morning before the break of dawn
Beside my bed I knelt,
I prayed for you and I prayed for me...
And others that I felt...
Would like to feel the touch of Love,
Along their way this day...
To be assured they walk not alone,
As they travel on their way.

All in a bee's day's work

Good Morning Glory!
